Mr. Michael Joseph Ivess
The death occurred at the Dimboola Bush Nursing Hospital on Saturday night of Mr. Michael Joseph Ivess, a well-known and highly esteemed resident of this district. Deceased who is a son of the late Patrick and Joanna Ivess, was born at Askeaton, County Limerick, Ireland. He came to this district 37 years ago and was employed in the Murra Warra district for some years. Later he brought a property at Wail where he lived until he disposed of it a short time ago. The late Mr. Ivess was not married, and he is survived by one brother, Mr. Con. Ivess, of Pimpinio, and two brothers and two sisters who live in Ireland. The funeral will take place this afternoon at the Pimpinio cemetery at 3 o’clock. The cortege will leave the Dimboola Roman Catholic Church at 2.15p.m.

IVESS. Mr Michael Ivess, a well known resident of the Dimboola district died suddenly at the Dimboola Bush Nursing Hospital last Saturday evening. The late Mr. Ivess was born at Askeaton, County Limerick, Ireland, and came to Australia in 1908. He was employed by the late Mr. J. B. Kelly at Murra Warra for a period of 12 years and later purchased a farm near Dimboola, where he lived until the time of his death. He was a devout member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dimboola, and a respected citizen. Deceased, who was unmarried is survived by three brothers – Patrick (Ireland), Cornelius (Pimpinio) and James (Ireland). Four brothers and one sister are deceased. The funeral, which was fell attended, took place on Monday at the Pimpinio Cemetery. The Rev. Father J. F. Coughlin officiated at the grave-side. Coffin-bearers were Messrs C. Cullinane, Ray Ellis, R. Reinheimer, R. O’Connor, M. O’Connor and T. Courtney.
