The Ivess families have owned a family grave plot at St Mary’s Church in Askeation since before memories are known. The Church was changed to the Church of Ireland after Cromwell seized most Catholic properties, however the graveyard is still Catholic.

Unfortunately no headstones or other memorials were erected except for these although many generations of the Ivess family have been interred here.
